The basic objective of the programme is to open a channel of admission for computing courses for students who have done their plus-two and are interested in taking computing/IT as a career.
This program provides students with options to specialize in application software, system software, or mobile applications. It prepares the youth to take up positions as system analysts, system engineers, software engineers, programmers, and versatile professionals in any area of computer applications.

To be eligible for admission to the BCA Degree Programme under Mahatma Gandhi University, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Pass Plus Two or equivalent examinations in the science stream with Mathematics or Computer Science as a compulsory subject.
